With great pleasure we can announce that the 49th Heineken Roeivierkamp, which was scheduled for March 2021, will be held on 2 & 3 October 2021!

Unfortunately, due to the short time available to organise the regatta, the organisation has had to decide that international entries will not be possible for this edition.

The 50th Heineken Roeivierkamp will be held on 12 & 13 March 2020. We hope to be able to welcome all our international competitors back on the Amstel for this already legendary anniversary edition!

HEINEKEN ROEIVIERKAMP 2021 CANCELLED https://www.roeivierkamp.com/heineken-roeivierkamp-2021-cancelled/ Mon, 18 Jan 2021 13:36:32 +0000 https://roeivierkamp.com/?p=901 Dear competitors,

With a heavy heart we have had to make the decision to cancel the Heineken Roeivierkamp 2021. The primary reason for this cancelation is that because of the extended lockdown in the Netherlands we cannot obtain a permit for organising the regatta in time, even if government measures would allow a regatta in march.

Next year, during the 50th anniversary of regatta, we expect to be able to organise a spectacular 49th Heineken Roeivierkamp. We hope to see you all there!

Until then, we wish all of you good health in these difficult times.

The Heineken Roeivierkamp committee.

We are very sorry to inform you that, based on the decision of the Minister of Public Health, we are forced to cancel the 48th Heineken Roeivierkamp. From this moment, rowing club Nereus is closed. We therefore ask you not to come to the boathouse at this moment.

Due to the exceptional situation, we are currently unable to make announcements regarding registration fees and other regulatory matters. This first requires further contact with the Dutch Rowing Federation, so that we can follow the correct protocols in this regard. We ask all competitors to exercise some patience with regard to questions concerning this topic. As soon as more information is available, it will be communicated immediately.

For other practical questions, we are available at info@roeivierkamp.nl and wedstrijdleiding@roeivierkamp.nl.

Measures regarding coronavirus https://www.roeivierkamp.com/measures-regarding-coronavirus/ Wed, 11 Mar 2020 20:47:56 +0000 https://roeivierkamp.com/?p=807 Partly in response to the decision of the Dutch Rowing Federation on Wednesday the 11th of March, the following measures have been taken for the Heineken Roeivierkamp with regard to the coronavirus:

  • The organization follows the health measures of National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).

  • The competition organization requests participants to adhere to the applicable anti-infection protocols. Additional facilities for washing hands will be made available by the organization.
    • Wash your hands regularly.
    • Cough and sneeze in the inside of your elbow.
    • Use tissue paper.
    • No shaking hands.
    • If possible, we advise competitors to shower at home in stead of at the rowing clubs.

  • In addition, we request anyone who has symptoms such as fever and cough to limit contact with others and, if advised by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, to contact a GP or Municipal Health Services.

  • The weigh-in for lightweight rowers and mates will take place in adjusted form, in order to reduce the busyness that normally arises. More information will be announced on Thursday, by e-mail to the contacts of the teams.

  • Finally, the organization follows the Dutch Rowing Federation in its decision to urgently request rowers living in North-Brabant and members of associations from North-Brabant not to participate in the Heineken Roeivierkamp in accordance with the advice of the NOC*NSF.

The organization is in close contact with the Municipality of Amsterdam, the Municipal Health Services of Amsterdam and the Dutch Rowing Federation. For now, in part based on statements made by the mayor of Amsterdam, we expect the competition to take place. If, in the coming days, the situation changes in such a way that the competition can’t take place, this will be announced by e-mail to the participants and via the website and social media.
